One Pot Vodka Alfredo Pasta

By Frida Sofia55 min totalServes 4-6

I love it when you can throw together a few pantry staples and whatever's in the fridge that needs to be used up, and end up with the most delicious dinner you've had in a while. This dish is so customizable. Toss in whatever veggies you have, like spinach or zucchini, and swap the chicken sausage for ground beef or Italian sausage if you prefer.

The vodka sauce and Alfredo bake together into the creamiest, cheesiest pink sauce, and it all comes together in one pot. No boiling, no draining, just one pot and one mess 🫶 Let me know if you try it!

Why You'll Love This

  • •One pot, one mess! No boiling water, no draining, no extra pans.
  • •5 minutes of prep: Dice the sausage, dump everything in, and let the oven do the work.
  • •Pantry friendly: Jarred sauces and a box of pasta, plus whatever needs to be used up in the fridge.
  • •Customizable: Swap the protein, add any veggies, or use whatever short pasta you have.

Ingredients

Pasta

Any short pasta works (penne, rigatoni, rotini). Thinner shapes cook faster, so start checking at 30 minutes.

Sausage

Any chicken sausage works, but a cheddar one, or anything with cheese in it, is amazing in this.

Alfredo and vodka sauce

Any jarred brand you like. Together they make a creamy pink sauce.

Cheese

Shredded Mexican or mozzarella melts best. An Italian blend or a little Parmesan on top is great too.

Storage

Keep leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 3 to 4 days.

Instructions

  1. 1

    Preheat the oven to 400°F.

  2. 2

Place the pasta, diced chicken sausage, and cherry tomatoes in a large Dutch oven or oven-safe dish.

  3. 3

Add the Alfredo sauce, vodka sauce, and 2 cups of water. Stir everything well, pressing the pasta down so it sits under the liquid.

  4. 4

Cover with a lid (or foil) and bake for 40 minutes.

  5. 5

Remove from the oven and stir. The pasta should be close to al dente.

  6. 6

Cover the top with the cheese and bake uncovered for 5 to 10 minutes, until the cheese melts and the pasta is cooked through.

  7. 7

Stir everything together and serve. Salt to taste.

Notes & Tips

If substituting chicken sausage for ground meet, brown the meat first before adding the pasta and the remaining ingredients.
